The Reality of our Production Delays and How We’re Solving Them
On Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, the Aer Cosmetics team, which is just the two of us, Paige and Madi, took a trip to our manufacturing office in Tampa, Florida. Our flagship location has always been my tiny Philadelphia apartment, so being able to fly down and spend the day with our manufacturer felt both surreal and necessary. We wanted to roll tablets ourselves, see the process up close, and bring you into the heart of why production has taken longer than we ever expected.
When we launched our presale, our dream was to ship the very first wave by the end of June 2025. Now, as we head into the end of August, we are just working our way through orders beginning with number 2300. This is not what we pictured, but honesty has to be at the center of everything we do. The delay comes down to two things. The first is an unexpected shortage of key ingredients for our mascara solution. The second is that every single tablet is still rolled by hand. Each container holds about thirty tablets, and usually one person at a time is sitting in our manufacturer’s facility hand-rolling them. Even working at a maximum pace, our team is only able to produce around 10 kits a day. We are exploring ways to make the process more efficient, whether that means molds, machines, or other tools. But right now, our top priority is simply getting every presale order into your hands, even if that means rolling each tablet one by one.
The day itself was an adventure. Madi showed up at my house at 3:40 in the morning, and we drove together to catch our flight at 6:15. By the time we landed in Orlando, we were buzzing with excitement and nerves. We picked up our very first rental car, stopped for breakfast, and headed to meet Tania and her amazing team. We spent the entire day collaborating, problem-solving, and doing whatever we could to speed up fulfillment. By the end of the visit, we had filled a suitcase and two large boxes with product so we would not have to wait for a shipment to Philadelphia.
When we finally arrived back home at 12:30 in the morning, it had been nearly a 24-hour day. We were exhausted, but also deeply proud. Every trip, every early morning, every late night is for you, our earliest supporters. We are working harder than we ever have, and we will never stop being grateful for your patience, your encouragement, and your belief in Aer Cosmetics from the very beginning.
More updates are to follow shortly, as we explore innovate alternatives to our current production and get you your mascara as fast as possible, while still holding its quality and integrity to the highest standards. Thank you, as always, for your support in our shared mission.

Can I just say how appreciative I am for your transparency? I placed a pre-order in May, and I’m so happy that you’ve posted this update with information about what order #s you’re currently working through. It’s reassuring to see how much closer you are to my order number!
